Malagasy presidential election of 2013

To a duel Robinson Jean-Louis and Hery Rajaonarimampianina?

CENIT (Independant National Electoral Commission for the Transition) gave us the true current estimates. A quarter of office, 5600 exactly, were treated. This represents 26% of Malagasy voters. The rate of participation provisional amounts to 56 %. It is always difficult to give a clear trend since the interim results of major cities including the capital, are not yet known. So nothing is definitive. However, two candidates are currently in mind, it is Jean -Louis Robinson, supported by the former head of state Marc Ravalomanana who would top and Hery Rajaonarimampianina, supported behind the scenes by the current President of the Transition Andry Rajoelina second.
If the local political experts expected a scattering of votes, given the number of candidates and the desire to change the Malagasy political class, the reality is quite different: 24 candidates currently get less than 2 % of voice.

Sale of satchels, backpacks that is suitable for everyone

“Some people spend their money freely and still grow richer.”(Proverbs 11:24a)

To achieve its goal of proclaiming the Gospel through the media (which are offered freely to his partners: church, College, University and Youth Offenders Center), the LHM Madagascar every year organizes an event to raise money. For the 2013/2014 fiscal year, we sell in the LHM Office some items like: satchels, backpacks, handbag with the LHM logo. Everyone is invited to participate in this fundraising (BCC students, volunteers, Staff, visitors…)

Church visiting.

“They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do.” (Psalms 1:3)

Andomotra Reformed Church is the place where LHM Madagascar has its new partnership the Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October 2013. It is in the Mananara Firaisana Synod, about 90 km from Antananarivo, on the national road joining Anjozorobe, and at the right side of Mangamila. Sensitizing the Christians to learn more about the words of God through BCC was emphasized; it was done respectively by LHM Madagascar Representative, Rev Joasy Andriatsihoarana and the Catechist François Randrianaivo. There was also a debate film organized by the church. The Christians were full of joy for LHM visiting them after a long wait. The Catechist was convinced to be a volunteer and he got the approbation of Rev Joasy Andriatsihoarana.

“Listen to his voice”

The progress of the survey

According to the survey conducted by LHM Madagascar Office in July 2013, in collaboration with volunteers, we finished the analysis and we have now the results. As we’ve got different categories of listeners, the purpose is to define what are the themes of relevance of our audience (generally youth people) in order to know their needs. The survey was based on a special questionnaire that we have distributed to about 428 people. The topics of interest to listeners are now known and it allowed us to choose the monthly theme that will be in line with the needs of listeners.

Preaching the Gospel in jail

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living,”(2Timothy 3:16)

The partnership with the central prison of Antanimora continues every week and goes on well. The activities carried out by LHM volunteers in this prison will have a new dimension. Indeed, during this month of October, a tournament soccer game 7 will be held in this prison. And at halftime of each game, sensitization on Bible Correspondence Courses (BCC) will be undertaken and a distribution of leaflets too. Banners will also be exposed during the tournament. We hope that the number of BCC students will increase because of the BCC awareness and advertising during the tournament.
