LHM Club, Nanisana High School

Deacon’s month, preaching through song and drama

Church visitation during Sunday service is one of the LHM Club Nanisana High School program for the school year 2014/2015 (three times per year). On Sunday November 10, 2013, the Reformed Church in Amboasary “The gate of heaven” where Mr. Daniel is the LHM volunteer invited the LHM Club Nanisana High School to participate in deacon‘s month. Not as usual, this time the visit lasted all day. During the morning service, LHM Club participated in prayer, Bible reading and 5 minutes message for Sunday school and especially singing. It is an opportunity for LHM Staff that accompany them to awareness on the LHM activities and to encourage the Christians to enroll for BCC, to bring back BCC dropouts. In the afternoon, the Club sang and played drama to convey the Message of Christ who chooses them about their responsibility, behavior and especially the mission as a deacon.
Deacons and parishioners had come many this Sunday, so we hope that the seeds fell in good soil and will produce corn.

Madagascar: The two favorites in the second round

A duel between Andry Rajoelina, Marc Ravalomanana.

The Electoral Commission of Madagascar (Cénit) announced last Friday the results of the first round of the presidential election held on 25 October. The second round is scheduled for December 20, 2013 oppose Robinson Jean- Louis , the candidate dubbed by former President Marc Ravalomanana , Hery Rajaonarimampianina which itself is supported by the actual President of the Transition Andry Rajoelina. According to the official count, still provisional, the two men collected respectively 21.10% and 15.93% of the vote. Both candidates have largely outpaced the other 31 candidates.
The results were announced this November 8 during a ceremony at Antanananarivo in the presence of representatives of the International Community, which largely financed the election. The presence at the ceremony of the diplomatic corps and the mediator of the SADC (Southern Africa Development Austral) to solve the Malagasy crisis demonstrates the importance the international community attaches to the normalization of political life in Madagascar.

ETS Workshop Training

New partnership with Sofia Synod

Sofia region is dominated by the Muslim religion, so according to the request of the Rev. François Vivier, President of the Synod Sofia, 2 Districts beneficiated the ETS training: Antsohihy District and Port Bergé District.
8 church partners, 2 from Port Bergé District, 6 from Antsohihy District, participated with a total of 31 participants. Rev. François Vivier attended the meeting, he reminded all the participants to keep alive the gift that God give them and encourage them to go ahead. All participants were convinced that the Bible Correspondence Course is very important for the effective evangelization and for the gospel message is well received. Thus, they are all registered to the lesson one of the BCC.
As usual, all participants were awarded certificates at the closing of the training.
