Establishing new partnership

Felana a very motivated BCC volunteer

Felana, a young teacher at Anjepy High School and a Private School Fanazava (a small town located at 40 KM from the Capital) is conscious of the importance of evangelism within the schools. Then, she has become a very motivated BCC volunteer since November 2015. As results, now 125 pupils are enrolled to BCC. In Madagascar, every year, all schools organize a special event to mark the schools Day; for the School year 2015/2016 it took place on February 17. For Felana, she profited this event by inviting LHM staff to sensitize again the students on BCC and to project the film entitled “Hidden Island”. Thanks the Lord, many students watching the film, so we could convey the message of the Bible regarding jealousy and all wickedness of every kind to them.

Church visitation

“Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial… “(Revelation3: 10)

Following the LHM Staff and BCC volunteers meeting about the Bible Correspondence Course evaluation on November 28, 2015 and the New Year 2016 Greetings, many BCC volunteers wanted that the LHM Staff will raise again awareness the Christians to study the Word of God. One of them is Mr. Jean Charles BCC volunteer at Anosibe Lutheran Church (Anosibe Distric, Antananarivo Synod). So, on February 14, 2016 during Sunday service, the LHM Staff undertake a good time to motivate and to encourage the Christians to enroll to BCC. The Pastor and the LHM Staff are both confirm the importance of studying the Bible against the various temptations that we have to face. Only, our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ with which, we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

BCC, new awareness method

Lutheran Hour Ministries the New Year 2016, the staff LHM began by preaching the Word of God followed by an exchange and sharing time from the Bible verse “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Philippians 1: 21) to the LHM Club members during their weekly meeting. A student having Jesus in his life is different from those who deny the Word of God as the real life. Each, LHM Club member would bring the message of light to the others. After the meeting the LHM staff and Jemima the LHM volunteer in Nanisana High School raised awareness among students per classroom. As a result, during the visit in each classroom, some students are convinced to enroll to BCC. We hope others are going to follow them.

Christmas Contest

The coming of Christ

As last Year, a Christmas Contest was organized during the month of December 2015 by means of the radio programs broadcasted through the eight Radio stations partners. One question was asked at the end of each weekly radio program, dealing with the theme “The coming of Christ”, to which the listeners send responses via SMS. So, December was concentrated on receipt of SMS and computer input. As prizes, 17 mobile phones, 1 head phone and 1 Tab were awarded to the 18 winners. The awarding prizes ceremony took place on January 30, 2016 at the LHM Head Office. Thanks to this Christmas Contest through the broadcast programs, we recorded a significant number of responses, 1025 in total.
